Reports are growing in Italy and France that if PSG sign Gianluigi Donnarumma, it will be for cash only and not Alphonse Areola.
It had been suggested this week that Paris Saint-Germain offered Areola plus €20m for Donnarumma, but that it was rejected out of hand.
According to L’Equipe and Eurosport, that deal was never going to work because Areola has his heart set on a Premier League transfer.

At the same time, Milan weren’t interested in Areola, as they already have Pepe Reina and U20 World Cup starlet Alessandro Plizzari on their books.
The Rossoneri are intent on selling 20-year-old Donnarumma to raise funds, as he came up through their youth academy and therefore represents 100 per cent profit.
His contract only runs to June 2021 and does not seem likely to sign a new deal, especially now Milan are trying to implement a salary cap.
