Onazi suffers thigh strain

Lazio midfielder Eddy Onazi will be out for at least a week, after suffering a thigh strain.

The Nigerian international picked up an injury during the Super Eagles 2-0 win over Swaziland in a World Cup qualifier, and underwent tests today.

“The tests which were carried out showed the presence of a grade one strain of the adductor longus in the right thigh,” the Biancocelesti announced in a statement on the club’s official website.

The 22-year-old has made nine appearances for the Aquile so far this season, scoring once and providing one assist, and will now definitely miss the weekend clash with Palermo.
