Onana leaves Inter: Latest on transfer fee, Man Utd medical and announcement

André Onana is set to join Manchester United in a deal worth €55m, but the Red Devils are not expected to announce his purchase today.

Inter and Manchester United have finally agreed on Onana’s transfer fee. According to The Athletic, the 27-year-old will move to Old Trafford for €51m plus €4m add-ons. He joined Inter on a free transfer from Ajax last summer.

It is still unclear when and where Onana will undergo his medical with the Premier League giants. Sky Sport Italia reported on Monday that the Cameroon international still doesn’t have a visa to travel to the UK, so he may undergo his medical elsewhere.

According to The Athletic, Onana may join his teammates in the USA, where the Red Devils will fly to after a friendly against Lyon in Scotland tomorrow.

Inter have identified Bayern Munich goalkeeper Yann Sommer as Onana’s replacement, but the Bavarians won’t let the 34-year-old leave unless the Nerazzurri pay his €6m release clause.
