Official: Udinese announce Kamara from Watford

Udinese have completed the signing of Hassane Kamara from Watford, but the player will remain out on loan until the end of the season.

Udinese have confirmed the permanent signing of the 28-year-old defender. Kamara has signed a contract until June 2026 with an option for a further campaign.

However, he won’t be available for Andrea Sottil’s side until next season as Udinese and Watford have agreed to leave the player on loan in England until the end of the current campaign.

The Pozzo family owns both Udinese and Watford and this is the second transfer completed by the two clubs this summer after Adam Masina’s move to the Dacia Arena on a permanent €5m deal.

Ignacio Pussetto has returned to Watford after the end of his loan spell in Serie A.

Kamara will likely replace Destiny Udogie from next season. The 19-year-old has completed an €18m move to Tottenham but will remain on loan at Udinese in 2022-23.
