Roma have officially confirmed the loan of Antonio Sanabria to Sporting Gijon, freeing up a non-EU space for Edin Dzeko.
Dzeko is ready to sign for the Giallorossi, but the transfer has been held up as the Giallorossi already have too many players from outside the European Union.
However, the club has now confirmed that Sanabria will spend the season on loan at Sporting Gijon, meaning there is now a slot available.

“AS Roma announces that a deal has been agreed with Sporting Gijon for a loan deal until June 30 2016 for the player Antonio Sanabria,” a statement announced.
“The 19-year-old striker, who came through the Barcelona ‘cantera’, made two appearances in 2014-15, both as a substitute.”
