Former Milan attacker Alexandre Pato will not be Serie A-bound after signing for Sao Paulo.
Sao Paulo’s official website confirms Pato has put pen to paper on a contract until December 2022, while Gazzetta dello Sport writes he paid €2.5m to release himself from Tianjin Quanjian.
However, he will not be able to play competitive matches for the Brazilian club until the end of April, when the new Brasileirao campaign starts.

The 29-year-old had been linked with a return to Milan, where he scored 63 goals in 150 appearances earlier in his career.
The move also marks his second spell with Sao Paulo, having played for the club on loan between 2014 and 2015.
