Napoli have officially announced the signing of young midfielder Alberto Grassi from Atalanta.
The deal has been known about for some time, with Orobici Coach Edy Reja confirming on Friday that the 20-year-old had joined the Vesuviani.
“Napoli have officially signed Alberto Grassi on a permanent basis from Atalanta,” a statement on the Partenopei’s website confirmed.

“The new Azzurri midfielder has chosen the shirt number 88. The midfielder came through the youth system at Atalanta.
“He made his Serie A debut on 22 November, 2014 as a second half substitute against Roma. He made 16 top-flight appearances last season, and 13 this year.
“On December 20 he played the entire game against Napoli in our 3-1 win.
“At international level, he has one appearance for the Under-16s, 10 for the Under-17s, four for the Under-19s, seven with the Under-20s and two with the Under-21s in August and November against Hungaria and Lithuania respectively.”
