Official: Marotta extends Inter contract until 2027

Inter President Steven Zhang has announced Beppe Marotta’s contract extension until 2027 and approved financial results for the first three months of 2023-24 with an increase in revenues of approximately €60m.

Inter’s board of directors meeting took place on Friday morning, with President Zhang attending remotely from China, reports La Gazzetta dello Sport.

Zhang announced Marotta’s contract extension until 2027 following positive sporting results over the last few seasons.

The Nerazzurri have won two Supercoppa Italia and two Coppa Italia during Simone Inzaghi’s tenure and reached the Champions League Final last season.

Marotta’s contract was due to expire this coming June, and according to Gazzetta, Piero Ausilio and Dario Baccin will predictably sign new deals with Inter over the next few weeks.

The board of directors also approved financial results for the first three months of 2023-24.

The Nerazzurri increased revenues by circa €60m (+36%) from July to September compared to the same period of the previous year.
