Official: Fiorentina drop Liverpool and Atletico target Amrabat for Conference League playoff

Fiorentina midfielder Sofyan Amrabat didn’t train with his teammates this morning and hasn’t been called up for Thursday’s Conference League playoff against Rapid Wien.

The Morocco international could leave the Tuscans in the summer and won’t be available when Vincenzo Italiano’s side meet Austrian side Rapid Wien in the first leg of the Conference League playoff on Thursday, August 24.

Amrabat has been left out of Fiorentina’s squad list for tomorrow’s game and had not been involved in their 4-1 away win over Genoa this past Saturday.

Calciomercato.com reports Amrabat didn’t even train with his teammates this morning.

According to the report, Liverpool, Manchester United and Atletico Madrid remain interested in the Viola star, who, however, is not a priority for any of these clubs.

Therefore, all parties interested are waiting to see if Fiorentina will reduce their asking price in the last few days of the summer transfer window.

The 27-year-old’s contract expires in June 2024, but Fiorentina have an option to extend his stay by one more season.
