As expected, Roma have officially sold Michael Bradley to the MLS club Toronto FC for $10m (£6.7m).
A statement was released this evening confirming that Roma signed a contract with Major League Soccer to sell the midfielder.
The 26-year-old is a USA international who has not played in the MLS since leaving New York Red Bulls in January 2006.
He has played for Heerenveen in Holland, Germany’s Borussia Monchengladbach, Aston Villa in England and both Chievo and Roma in Serie A.
“It’s a shame Bradley is leaving, but he wanted to go and we cannot keep hold of a player who doesn’t want to be here,” said Roma Coach Rudi Garcia.
“It’s a pity and I understand he wanted more playing time, as it’s difficult to get space in our midfield. We wish him all the best in his new adventure.”
