Official: Atalanta get Ali Adnan

Atalanta have officially confirmed the signing of Ali Adnan, with Marco D’Alessandro moving to Udinese in exchange.

The swap deal was first mooted earlier today, but wasn’t confirmed before the transfer deadline passed.

However, it appears that the clubs did have the paperwork signed before the window closed, as Adnan has now moved to the Orobici.

“Atalanta B.C. announces that he has acquired from the Udinese the player Ali Adnan Kadhim Al-Tameemi, better known as Ali Adnan, on a temporary basis with the option to buy,” the Bergamaschi confirmed on their website.

The Lega Serie A have also confirmed that D’Alessandro’s contract has been deposited by Udinese for a loan move, with the Zebrette later announcing they will also have an option to buy.

Ali Adnan made history in 2015 when he became the first Iraqi ever to play in Serie A.
