Arsenal have officially signed right-back Stephan Lichtsteiner from Juventus on a free transfer.
A statement on Arsenal’s official website confirms Lichtsteiner will become Unai Emery’s first signing and wear their No 12 jersey from July 1, ‘subject to the completion of regulatory processes’.
“Stephan brings huge experience and leadership to our squad,” Emery told the Gunners’ official website.

“He’s a player with great quality with a very positive and determined attitude. Stephan will improve us on and off the pitch.”
Lichsteiner moved to Italy with Lazio in 2008 and won both the Coppa Italia and Supercoppa before joining Juve three years later.
The 34-year-old won the Scudetto in each of his seven seasons with the Bianconeri, as well as four domestic doubles, and will represent Switzerland at this summer’s World Cup.
