Obiang wants Sampdoria return

West Ham United midfielder Pedro Obiang is keen to return to Sampdoria this summer, according to reports.

The 26-year-old has spent the past three seasons with the Hammers, making 24 appearances last season and scoring twice.

It appears though that he’s surplus to requirements, with Fiorentina and Atalanta keen to bring him back to Italy.

Villarreal, Lille, Fulham and Sevilla are also thought to be interested, but Sky Italia reports that Obiang wants to go back to Samp.

The Blucerchiati sold Lucas Torreira to Arsenal earlier this summer, and see the Spaniard as an ideal replacement.

Obiang has fond memories of his time at Marassi and wants to return, so an official bid from Sampdoria is expected in the coming days.
