Parma have rejected the notion that they could re-sign Sebastian Giovinco from Italian champions Juventus.

The Italian international spent two campaigns at the Stadio Tardini before moving back to Turin at the end of last season.

However, Giovinco’s future has been placed into doubt after a problematic term at the Juventus Stadium.

Although his agent has insisted that the player will remain in Turin, he has been linked with possible moves to Genoa, Fiorentina, Sampdoria and now Parma.

“I think it is hard to wear the Juventus shirt,” Parma sporting director Pietro Leonardi told Tele Ducato. “However, a move here is not possible.

“He’ll stay with the Bianconeri because boss Antonio Conte has great faith in his abilities. He’s also been one of Juventus’ best players this season in terms of form.

“He would be of interest to a lot of clubs, but he will remain with Juve.”

The 26-year-old scored seven goals in 31 League games for the Old Lady in 2012-13.
