The Argentine-born forward has since had scans on his right knee which just showed heavy bruising. He remains a doubt for the Catania game though.
The former Fiorentina man took no part in this morning’s session. He instead worked with the physiotherapist.
Meanwhile, centre-back Marquinhos was missing from Trigoria as he is struggling with a cold and a fever.
Fellow stopper Leandro Castan is also worrying boss Zdenek Zeman as he is dealing with swelling to his fifth metatarsal.
