The striker will complete his move to the Rossoneri this week, almost three years after leaving the Nerazzurri for Manchester City.
“I have to be honest, I’m a massive Inter fan, but I have no regrets,” he stated on Wednesday afternoon when asked for his thoughts on the move.
“He’s a Milan gamble, a good signing that we couldn’t and didn’t need to make because he’s already played for us.
“It could be a good move for them. I see it as a useful operation for Milan President Silvio Berlusconi for a thousand reasons. We’ll see how it ends.”
Turning to their own market purchases, Moratti commented on the imminent arrivals of Ezequiel Schelotto of Atalanta and Stuttgart’s Zdravko Kuzmanovic.
“We have squad needs,” he continued. “I don’t know if our transfer market will come to an end with these signings.”
