Napoli should secure David Lopez from Espanyol for €5m, but also invest €9m in Tottenham midfielder Sandro.
The Partenopei missed out on Champions League qualification with a play-off defeat to Athletic Bilbao, but are still eager to reinforce their squad.
According to Spanish newspaper AS, David Lopez will complete his transfer from Espanyol to Napoli this weekend for €5m.
He’s not the only midfielder they could invest in, as Sportitalia insist negotiations with Spurs for Sandro are still on-going.
They maintain the asking price has dropped to €9m (£7.1m) for the 25-year-old Brazilian, who is not part of their plans.
However, Napoli could also face competition for Sandro’s signature from QPR.
