Milan are ready to tighten their grip on Stephan El Shaarawy after turning down a €30m offer from Napoli for him.
The player put pen to paper on a new deal in July which saw him handed a contract until 2017 worth €800,000 a season.
The Diavolo, however, are prepared to offer him another pay rise and extend his contract for a further 12 months – according to the Gazzetta dello Sport – following a goal-packed 2012-13 so far.
The 20-year-old has scored 15 goals in 22 Serie A appearances this season. He also has two in six Champions League ties.
Only Edinson Cavani of Napoli, thanks to his 18 goals which include three penalties, has scored more goals in the League than El Shaarawy this term.
