According to Repubblica newspaper, Napoli are preparing the first offer to Chelsea for Romelu Lukaku, but it is under half the asking price.
It has been noted many times in England that the Stamford Bridge side expect to receive £38m for the sale of their striker, who is returning to base after a loan spell with Roma.
However, finding anyone prepared to pay that will be difficult, especially if Lukaku continues to reject proposals from the Saudi Pro League.
Lukaku will push Chelsea for Napoli deal
Napoli are the new absolute favourites for the Belgian after appointing coach Antonio Conte, who already worked with him so well at Inter.
Repubblica newspaper claim today that director of sport Giovanni Manna has made the first offer to Chelsea and it is €15m plus another €3m in bonuses.
That would translate to roughly £12.7m plus £2.5m in add-ons, under half the asking price set for the centre-forward.
Negotiations will be tricky, but Napoli know they have Lukaku’s agreement to help push through the move.
Milan were also linked with the forward, but he would be very far down their list of priorities.
