Napoli sporting director Riccardo Bigon has today discussed January transfers and the future of boss Walter Mazzarri.
Speaking during an interview with Radio Anch’Io Lo Sport, the official stated that the club would have a look at what was on offer at the start of 2013.
“The January window is always a difficult one,” the official noted. “Perhaps we could send a few players who haven’t played too much to other clubs.
“However, big name players don’t usually switch clubs in the winter.
“We already have a good squad. We’ll just have to wait and see if an opportunity to sign someone arises.”
Bigon was also asked about Mazzarri, the Napoli boss who suggested earlier this season that he may take a year out of the game at the end of the present campaign.
“We work together on a daily basis and it doesn’t seem to me that he wants to leave,” Bigon commented.
“He has an excellent relationship with the club directors, the owner and the squad.”
The Azzurri are currently second in the table, just two points adrift of Juventus.
