Napoli are believed to be close to a deal for Salzburg’s Stefan Lainer, after raising their offer to €12m.
The Austrian international was a part of the side which reached the Europa League semi-final, beating Lazio on the way before losing to Marseille.
The Partenopei have been linked with him for some time, but were only prepared to offer €10m for the defender.
Now though Sky Italia is reporting that the decision to raise the offer to €12m has proved decisive, and a deal is very close.
