Napoli make new attempt for PSG-bound Nagelsmann

Napoli have made a new attempt for German coach Julian Nagelsmann, but the 35-year-old is determined to accept PSG’s offer, reports in Italy claim.

The Serie A champions are on the lookout for Luciano Spalletti’s successor and President Aurelio De Laurentiis said last week that he was evaluating at least 10 coaches using a 4-3-3 system.

Luis Enrique had emerged as Napoli’s leading candidate for the role, but the Spanish tactician is leaning towards a move to the Premier League.

Former Bayern Munich boss Nagelsmann is also high on Napoli’s agenda but yet again, the German seems unwilling to take charge of the Partenopei.

Tuttomercatoweb and Sky Sport Italia report ADL has made a new attempt with the ex-Bayern boss who, however, is in advanced talks with PSG and prefers a move to the French capital.

This means that Napoli’s search for Spalletti’s successor will continue with Fiorentina boss Vincenzo Italiano now seen as the most credible candidate.
