Napoli look to Genoa’s Gudmundsson as possible Lozano replacement

Napoli are considering PSV’s offer for Hirving Lozano and have identified Genoa’s Albert Gudmundsson as a possible replacement.

The Eredivisie side are interested in bringing back the Mexican winger after his previous two-year spell and they’ve submitted an official offer to the Scudetto holders – a €10m fixed fee with €5m in add-ons.

Napoli are seriously considering the proposal and the two clubs will meet on Monday to continue talks, where Aurelio De Laurentiis could ask for higher figures.

As underlined by Gianluca Di Marzio, Napoli don’t want to be caught empty-handed should they sell Lozano to PSV, so they’ve identified Gudmundsson as an interesting replacement for Rudi Garcia’s squad.

The 26-year-old Icelandic forward shined in Serie B for the Rossoblu last season, scoring 11 goals and providing five assists in 36 league games.

He is contracted to the club until June 2026 and the Ligurian outfit are not looking to sell as they work on carving out a spot for themselves in the topflight.
