The 28-year-old Germany international has 25 senior caps under his belt and only joined Bayern last summer.
This means he got very little time to work with Ancelotti, who was sacked in September.
Nonetheless, Sky Sport Italia claim the Coach wants to have another chance at working with Rudy at the Stadio San Paolo.
He played 35 competitive games for Bayern this season, contributing one goal and five assists.
