Napoli have confirmed that midfielder Marko Rog is free to join Sevilla on loan, ‘but then he’ll be back with us.’
Speaking to ABC de Sevilla, sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli conceded Sevilla were the best option for Rog but made it clear Napoli ‘don’t want to include an option to buy’.
“We’re talking, yes,” Giuntoli told the broadcaster.
“We’ve given the ‘OK’ to loaning him out. We feel it can be a good option for Marko. The player told us he wanted to play in Sevilla, but we can’t give him away.
“He can spend the next few months in Seville, but then he’ll be back with us. We don’t want to include an option to buy, and we’ve said that to him and Sevilla.
“Marko arrived in the summer of 2016 and we’re convinced that he’ll end up breaking out.
“He’s a player we have a lot of confidence in, so we don’t want to get rid of him. We’re not going to give anyone away.”
