Napoli eye move for Man United target Amrabat – report

Corriere della Sera suggest that Napoli are considering launching a late lunge for Sofyan Amrabat, who has been waiting for a move to Manchester United.

The 27-year-old Moroccan midfielder seemed destined for a move away from Fiorentina this summer after shining at the 2022 World Cup, but weeks have gone by without any indication of a transfer.

Manchester United have long been interested in Amrabat but are unwilling to make a move until they complete a few more sales, leaving the 27-year-old in limbo in Florence.

Corriere della Sera via TMW details how Napoli have started to serious think about picking up Amrabat in the final week of the transfer window after missing out on Celta Vigo talent Gabri Veiga, who snubbed them for Saudi side Al-Ahli.

Coach Rudi Garcia has already given the green light to a move and an approach could be made in the coming days.

Napoli were interested in signing Amrabat during his time with Hellas Verona, but he ultimately preferred a move to Florence at the time.
