Napoli bid for Petagna

SPAL have rejected a €21m offer from Napoli for striker Andrea Petagna, according to Sky Sport Italia.

Napoli have been busy in this transfer window, signing midfielders Diego Demme, Stanislav Lobotka and are closing in on winger Matteo Politano.

However according to Sky Sport Italia, the Partenopei aren’t finished.

Striker Fernando Llorente isn’t in coach Rino Gattuso’s plans, and Gattuso wants another striker.

This has led Napoli to making a €21m plus bonuses offer for Petagna.

However it’s thought that the Ferrara-based club will turn the offer down as they are battling relegation and can’t afford to lose the striker.

A deal may be put into place that sees Petagna stay at SPAL until the end of the season, and then join Napoli in the summer.

This formula may not be to Gattuso’s liking, who wants the player immediately.
