La Gazzetta dello Sport reports Fiorentina and Napoli have opened talks with agents of Nicolò Zaniolo, who can leave Galatasaray for €20m in the summer after returning from Aston Villa.
Zaniolo is set to return to Galatasaray after a disappointing loan spell with Aston Villa this season.
The ex-Roma striker has netted twice in 23 appearances across all competitions but played only 736 minutes under Unai Emery this term.
The 24-year-old has recently confirmed his desire to return to Serie A and according to Gazzetta, Fiorentina and Napoli have already opened preliminary talks with his representatives.
Napoli talks with Zaniolo and striker’s price tag
According to the report, Napoli are slightly ahead of the Tuscans given that their new sports director, Giovanni Manna, is a big admirer of Zaniolo and already tried to bring him to Juventus in the past.
The pink paper claims that the financial terms of a potential deal match Napoli’s transfer guidelines as Zaniolo earns circa €2.7m per season and Galatasaray are ready to sell him for €20m after his return from Aston Villa.
