Napoli and Fiorentina have landed in Saudi Arabia ahead of their participation in the newly formatted Supercoppa Italiana, which kicks off on Thursday.
For the first time since its inception, the 2023 edition of the Supercoppa will feature four teams instead of the traditional two.
As well as the reigning Serie A champions (Napoli), and the most recent Coppa Italia winners (Inter), there will also be room for the league’s runners-up (Lazio) and the other cup finalist (Fiorentina).
The mini-tournament kicks off on Thursday with Napoli against Fiorentina at the King Saud University Stadium, regular home to Al-Nassr and Cristiano Ronaldo. Inter and Lazio will play each other at the same ground on Friday, with the final scheduled for Monday night.
Fiorentina shared images on social media of their players arriving at the airport in Saudi Arabia on Monday evening.
Napoli, meanwhile, have already conducted their first training session in Riyadh, with images also appearing on X earlier on Monday.
