Mirko Valdifiori admits Napoli are targeting the Champions League this season – ‘it’s normal’.
The creative midfielder joined the Partenopei from Empoli this summer, following Coach Maurizio Sarri from Tuscany to Naples.
“We have to restart from the first 55 minutes against Sampdoria,” Valdifiori told Premium Sport.
“When we’re ahead we have to manage things better, though we did well to keep our heads after Eder’s two goals.

“When we’re ahead we have to manage things better, though we did well to keep our heads after Eder’s two goals.
“We’re following the Coach, so we have to take those 55 minutes [where we played well] and turn that into 80, 85.
“The Champions League? It’s normal for Napoli to think about it and have the desire to achieve it.
“We just have to try and win all the time, and see where we are game after game. Getting that first win will give us more confidence.”
Valdifiori will return to Empoli with his new side this weekend, and while he admits the homecoming will be emotional, he’s only thinking about doing well for the Vesuviani.
“It will be a special Sunday, I’ll be returning to a club where I spent seven years, but I’ll be returning in a Napoli shirt, and I’ll give my all.
“We’re working hard, and there will probably be some affection from the fans for myself, Sarri and [Elseid] Hysaj because we wrote an important page in the history of Empoli.
