Naithan Nandez has revealed he texted Diego Godin to convince him to join Cagliari last summer.
The former Atletico Madrid captain joined the Sardinians on a free transfer from Inter.
“I sent Diego many text messages to convince him to join us,” Nandez told Videolina.
“I told him about the many beautiful things of Sardinia, he also appreciates both the sea and the countryside.”
Nandez is a compatriot of Godin with the pair who have been playing together for Uruguay national neam.
