Now, the attacking midfielder has claimed the forced break could make for an even more difficult return to the pitch.
“I’m fine, but to resume play you must also consider how you will return,” he said on Instagram. “If you think about it, we are on vacation for a month in the summer and now we are already at two.”
Rolando Maran was sacked just before football came to a standstill and Walter Zenga has been appointed as his successor, yet to lead the side from the dugout.
