MP: Keita to Inter for €22m

Keita Balde Diao’s agent insists he’s just taking a day off in Milan, but reports suggest Inter agreed a €22m fee with Lazio.

The Senegal international striker has repeatedly refused to sign a new contract and his current deal with the Aquile expires next summer.

The Senegal international striker has repeatedly refused to sign a new contract and his current deal with the Aquile expires next summer.

He was absent from today’s friendly game and left the training camp this evening for Milan, as reported by Radiosei, who work closely with Lazio.

“First you said he had a deal with one team. Now he’s going to sign for another?? It’s his day off, he rests the way he wants to and you.. invent less,” wrote agent Roberto Calenda on Twitter.

It's claimed he is going to Milan to see his girlfriend, but there are growing reports of negotiations between Suning chief Walter Sabatini and Calenda.

However, Mediaset Premium this evening insist Inter and Lazio have reached a basic agreement for €22m.

Both this television station and FCInterNews.it cite the same figures: a five-year contract worth €3m per season plus bonuses.

If Keita does arrive, he’d effectively release Ivan Perisic to join Manchester United, as the Premier League outfit are inching towards the asking price of €55m.
