Morrison: ‘Tevez never spoke Italian’

Ravel Morrison responds to Lazio Coach Stefano Pioli – ‘Carlos Tevez never spoke Italian’.

The Aquile boss said yesterday that the 22-year-old’s development had stalled in part because “he still doesn’t speak a word of Italian”.

“Tevez played in England [and] never spoke English,” Morrison noted on his Twitter profile.

“[He] played in Italy [and] never spoke Italian”.

Morrison has been included in the Biancocelesti squad for tonight’s match with Genoa, despite having been left out in recent weeks.

The midfielder also wrote, then deleted, a Tweet saying he would do his talking “on the pitch”.

Morrison later clarified his comments, taking to Twitter again to insist he did not write the Tweets in question.

"I don't control my Twitter and the tweet that was was made was no disrespect to anybody," the former Manchester United player wrote, attributing the post to friend Fidel King.
