Milan legend Alessandro Costacurta has advised his former club to make a bid for Riccardo Montolivo.
Although boss Massimiliano Allegri ruled out a possible swap deal with Antonio Cassano yesterday, the ex-defender likes the Fiorentina captain.
"Montolivo has the quality and the personality to play at San Siro," stated the World Cup player.
"But in terms of the transfer market, I don't expect any new arrivals at Milan until we get towards the end of August."
Montolivo is expected to leave the Stadio Franchi in the next six weeks after he turned down the offer of a new contract.
With his deal set to expire in 2012, the Viola are looking to sell rather than lose him for nothing next summer.
