“I want to see if I can do what I did at Sevilla at another club,” Monchi said in an interview with Bein Sports.
“I want to live and experience perhaps two different countries, France and Italy; there is no specific reason [to leave Sevilla] and no exact date.
“When I see the conditions are right for a boy who arrived at Sevilla aged 18 and has been there for 30 years, I will leave. It will be a bilateral decision, not unilateral. I am the one who has the most doubts of all.
“There is another step you have to take to challenge Real Madrid and Barcelona but this is a club with ambition and I don't think we want to finish third. That would be poor and mediocre.”
