Monchi claims there is only one way Alisson can leave Roma this summer – if the goalkeeper-turned-sporting director comes out of retirement.
Alisson has long been linked with the likes of Liverpool, Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid, but Monchi reiterated once more that the Brazilian was going nowhere.
“I thank everyone for this award,” he said after receiving an award for the best sporting director of the season in Italy.

“I thank everyone for this award,” he said after receiving an award for the best sporting director of the season in Italy.
“For me it’s a special day and it's my first prize since coming to Roma. It’s a reward for my journey.
“We’re happy with what we’ve done but, like the Coach said, there’s still a lot of work to do. This club and fans must give even more to conquer more. That must be our motivation, to work so we can give the fans what they want.
“Dzeko? He’ll stay with us. I expect him to have a similar next season to this one. We all want him to stay.
“Alisson? If he leaves, it’s just because I’ve gone back to being a goalkeeper! This is the only way he’ll leave, but I don’t know if I’m ready to play again…
“Florenzi and Di Francesco? We’ve scheduled talks for the end of the season. On Di Francesco, I can say that he knows what I think of him.
“I was lucky enough to work with him for a year and I’m very happy to be near him. I think we have a lot more work to do together.”
