Inter striker Diego Milito admits he was so distraught by his miss against Atalanta, he “didn't sleep a wink last night.”
El Principe had a rare start in Bergamo, but wasted a great opportunity in the 1-1 draw when he chested the ball over an open goal from a yard.
“I didn't sleep a wink last night. I couldn't even close my eyes because I kept picturing that goal I missed,” he told Inter Channel.
“I am someone who really thinks things over and over when I go through difficult moments, so now I must try to make up for it.”
Even President Massimo Moratti confirmed Milito is not on form at the moment, following on from a poor campaign in 2010-11.
“It's just going that way, unfortunately strikers do go through times like this. I have to stay calm and learn from this experience. I am fit and the team is also improving.”
