“Having played 100 matches in an Inter shirt is something that makes me proud,” he told Inter Channel. “Very proud indeed.
“As for my goal, the ball I received from Rodrigo Palacio was excellent.
“I enjoy playing with Palacio, just as I do with Antonio Cassano. There’s understanding and balance between us. It’s important to play with footballers like that.”
The Beneamata had a problematic start to the season, but they have won their last five games in Serie A – which means they are just four points shy of leaders Juventus.
“I believe things changed with the loss to Siena,” he said of the Week 4 shock home defeat. “From that point we were able to find more balance. That defeat changed us.”
Inter have now won seven games on the trot in all competitions – which equals the achievement of Helenio Herrera’s side in the 1961-62 campaign.
