Milan owner Gerry Cardinale and CEO Giorgio Furlani reportedly met with Middle Eastern investors in Bahrain recently.
La Repubblica via TMW details how the Rossoneri pair travelled to Bahrain to meet with the unnamed investors and discuss a possible deal, which could lead to a corporate reorganisation.
This week, Cardinale was present at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza for the Champions League defeat to Borussia Dortmund and the following day he met with the club’s backroom staff and coach Stefano Pioli at Milanello.
The American owner purchased Milan in August 2022 from Elliot Management in a deal worth around €1.2 billion. He upset the club’s fanbase this summer after unexpectedly dismissing director Paolo Maldini.
The Rossoneri have been in a state of chaos in recent weeks, having only picked up two wins in their last eight outings in the midst of a serious injury crisis. A long list of players are sidelined with injuries and the club are expected to sign reinforcements in January.
