Milan have ruled out bids for Cesc Fabregas, Bastian Schweinsteiger and Kaka. But the Riccardo Montolivo door is open…

The Rossoneri have claimed that they will sign a new midfielder before the window closes, but it won’t be Fabregas of Arsenal, Bayern’s Schweinsteiger or former San Siro favourite Kaka of Real Madrid.

“I understand that Fabregas is an Arsenal player and not a Barcelona one,” stated Rossoneri Vice-President Adriano Galliani.

“There will be no derby between Barcelona and us for him. His transfer fee is hyperbolic and he’s not one of our objectives.

“Schweinsteiger is a flag bearer and he won’t be coming to Milan. As for Kaka, that would be a difficult operation with financial complications.”

Galliani refused to rule out a move for Montolivo though, the Italian international who will be sold by Fiorentina after turning down a new deal.

“We’ve not pushed for Montolivo, but then anything is possible in the market. It’s one of a lot of operations that are still alive.

“Enough now though with the Mr X, if he arrives then it will be at the end of the window.”
