Il Corriere dello Sport confirms Milan are interested in RB Leipzig forward Benjamin Sesko for the summer, although the Slovenia international is not the only potential replacement for Olivier Giroud.
Sesko, 20, is reported to be among the Rossoneri targets for next season. Both Olivier Giroud and Luka Jovic see their contracts expire in the summer and, regardless of their future, the Serie A giants are expected to make a big investment up front.
Giroud is wanted by MLS clubs and even if he stays at San Siro beyond the summer, Milan don’t expect him to be a regular starter, given that the France international will turn 38 in September. According to Il Corriere dello Sport, Leipzig value Sesko at €50m.
Gazzetta had previously claimed Sesko was among Milan’s targets in attack, alongside six other forwards.
The Rossoneri will also sign a new centre-back in the summer transfer window. Corriere dello Sport confirms that Alessandro Buongiorno will be their primary target after Torino refused to sell the Italy international in January.
