‘Milan should keep Pazzini’

Former Sampdoria Coach Domenico Di Carlo thinks that Milan should keep hold of Giampaolo Pazzini for what he can offer them.

The striker has only played 69 minutes this season, which led to his wife’s outburst on Instagram last week, and rumours of a potential January exit.

Last night, though, Pazzini was on the scoresheet against San Lorenzo and now he has received the backing of one of his former Coaches at Samp.

“Let’s start by saying that he is a player of an unlimited value in Serie A and he has already shown that many times,” Di Carlo told Tuttomercatoweb today.

“Obviously at Milan the competition is of a high quality and you really need to be very good and grab your chances when you are called into action.

“‘Il Pazzo’ has always scored his goals and could be a starter in any Italian team.

“You need to provide service to him in a certain way, but when he was at Sampdoria, he learned how to play even from deep and he learned to attack spaces on crosses.

“Should Milan keep him? These are choices that the club and Pippo Inzaghi should make. My thought is only one – especially in a team that crosses a lot, Pazzini would be a starter.

“And now he’s even got the right hunger to show his qualities.

“He is a player that must be motivated and supported but he can improve any team’s fortune, Milan included of course.

“If he is given confidence, he pays back everyone.”
