The saga of the Rossoneri's historic change of ownership seemed destined to drag on for weeks or months, as the identity of a new investor was revealed only yesterday.
Instead, breaking reports suggest it may all be over in a matter of hours. The site of Il Corriere della Sera reports that the final deal for the sale of the club has now been agreed on, with an incoming payment of almost €700m.
Representatives from the Chinese conglomerate are believed to be on their way to president Silvio Berlusconi's residence in Villa Certosa, where he is enjoying his holidays.
If these reports are confirmed, the sale of Milan should be signed and finalised before the end of the day.
