CM: Milan reach agreement with Fonseca to become their new coach

Milan have reportedly reached an agreement with Paulo Fonseca over a three-year deal, and the Portuguese will sign his contract with the Rossoneri upon their return from Australia.

Fonseca will be the new Milan coach in 2024-25 and Calciomercato.com claims the ex-Roma boss has agreed to sign a three-year contract at San Siro. His salary will be €3m plus add-ons.

All Italian sources claim the Portuguese tactician is the designated candidate to replace Stefano Pioli in 2024-25 and according to this latest report, Fonseca will soon sign his contract with the Serie A giants.

Milan players and staff members have flown to Australia for a friendly tourneé where they will also meet domestic rivals Roma.

Daniele Bonera will lead the team in Australia, while Fonseca will be officially appointed after the Rossoneri’s last game of the season.

Fonseca’s contract with Lille expires in June 2024 and the Portuguese has reportedly rejected an offer from Olympique Marseille to return to Serie A.
