Milan loan Origi to Nottingham Forest with purchase option

Milan have reportedly agreed to loan Divock Origi to Nottingham Forest with an option to buy, choosing them ahead of other Premier League alternatives.

The 28-year-old had flown to London today in order to be in the right place to negotiate for a return to England, having struggled to make any impact in Serie A.

Sheffield United and Burnley were also among the clubs interested in picking up the Belgium international.

However, Sky Sport Italia report a deal has been reached for Milan to loan Origi to Nottingham Forest and there is an option to buy at the end of the season.

MilanNews.it note the option is going to be worth €5m.

He left Liverpool as a free agent last summer to join Milan, but struggled with injuries and poor form.

In 36 appearances between Serie A, the Champions League and Supercoppa Italiana, Origi scored two goals and provided one assist.

Nottingham Forest have done several deals with Italian clubs this summer, including today’s swap between Remo Freuler and Bologna midfielder Nico Dominguez.
