Sky Sport Italia report Milan have exercised their option to buy Fikayo Tomori from Chelsea for €28.5m.
The decision had long been in the air almost since his first performance after arriving on loan in January.
They had tried to negotiate a discount, but director Marina Granovskaia was immovable on that score.
It had been reported over the last few days that the Rossoneri had instead worked out a payment scheme to stretch the sum out over several years.
It’s not yet clear if that is the situation, but Sky Sport Italia do claim Milan have informed Chelsea they’ll exercise the option to buy for €28.5m (£25m).
Tomori is 23 years old and the six-month loan cost €2m.
