The report emerged in Romanian media that a majority share had been sold to Chinese businessman Poe Qiu Ying Wang Shuo.
“Milan categorically deny that any agreement has been reached to sell club shares,” read a Fininvest statement.

“We reaffirm on this issue that various figures showed interest in a partnership relative to Milan, but these are exclusively on minority investments.
“Fininvest is not interested in ceding control of the club.”
