Manchester United are unwilling to let Eric Bailly join Milan on loan until the end of the season, while the Rossoneri striker Pietro Pellegri could join Torino on a temporary transfer.
The Serie A giants are still looking for a replacement for their injured defender Simon Kjaer. Lille’s Sven Botman is their No.1 target, but the Ligue 1 champions are unwilling to sell their star defender leave in January.
Milan are also looking for a loan deal with an option to buy and Manchester United defender Bailly is among their targets.
However, both La Gazzetta dello Sport newspaper and Sky Sports UK report the Red Devils are unwilling to let their defender leave on loan in January even if the Ivory Coast international has only collected seven appearances across all competitions this season.
Meantime, the Rossoneri are in talks with Torino over Pietro Pellegri’s loan move to the Stadio Grande Torino.
The striker’s agent Beppe Riso met Milan earlier this week and according to Gianluca Di Marzio, the two parties continued negotiations on Wednesday.
Milan and Torino are on good terms and the Rossoneri could sign Pellegri permanently for €6m from Monaco, loaning him to Monaco.
By doing so, they could have an option to get Gleison Bremer in the summer. The Brazilian defender is expected to extend his contract expiring in 2023 but will likely leave Torino at the end of the season.
