The Rossoneri were initially excluded from this season’s Europa League for Financial Fair Play breaches, but they successfully appealed to the Court of Arbitration for Sport.
While the club had wanted CAS to order UEFA to issue a settlement agreement, the appeal was only partially upheld.

The Rossoneri were initially excluded from this season’s Europa League for Financial Fair Play breaches, but they successfully appealed to the Court of Arbitration for Sport.
While the club had wanted CAS to order UEFA to issue a settlement agreement, the appeal was only partially upheld.
As a result the decision was returned to the Club Financial Control Body to issue a more proportionate punishment.
Last week UEFA handed down the decision, withholding €12m in prize money as a fine and warning that Milan must break even by June 30 2021 or be barred from European competition again.
The club has been largely silent on the judgement, and according to today’s Corriere della Sera the Rossoneri may return to CAS.
The punishment is still seen as being too harsh, while there will likely be further punishments for failing to meet FFP targets in 2017-18.
